You can now add to the list PDF, which stands for Portable Document Format. A PDF is a Portable Document Format - a file format created in the early 1990’s that used to exchange documents electronically. PDF is the preferred format used to transmit electronic newsletters and copies of legal documents because PDFs offer layouts that make the text, fonts, images and graphics contained in the original document a little more difficult to manipulate. In the next few lessons, you’ll learn about some of the best PDF converters available in the marketplace – and the tips and tricks behind what makes using them so easy.
